ULTRASONIC Cleaning possibilities

ultrasonic cleaning- cleaning possibilities

One of the most common questions about ultrasonic cleaning is “What is possible to clean with an ultrasonic cleaner?”

For people who don’t know much about ultrasonic technology and how an ultrasonic cleaner actually works it might seem like there are only specific items you can clean with it. Well, this is actually the exact opposite to what an ultrasonic cleaner is. It is one of the most multi functional machines you will ever come across when it comes to cleaning.

The shortest and simplest way to answer “What can you clean with an ultrasonic cleaner?” is to tell you what you CAN’T clean.

Generally there are two main categories of items which you can not clean with an ultrasonic cleaner. Items which shouldn’t be submerged in water because the liquid will damage them and items which can’t be easily dried. That’s it. Everything else can be cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner.

Ultrasonic cleaning is a versatile method that can effectively clean a wide range of objects and materials.

Here are some examples of what you can clean with ultrasound:

  1. Jewelry: Ultrasound cleaning can be used to clean various types of jewelry, including rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and watches. It effectively removes dirt, oils, and grime from hard-to-reach areas and intricate designs.

  2. Optical Lenses: Ultrasonic cleaning is commonly employed to clean eyeglasses, camera lenses, microscopes, and other optical components. It safely removes smudges, fingerprints, dust, and other contaminants from the lenses, ensuring clear vision and optimal performance.

  3. Dental and Surgical Instruments: Ultrasonic cleaning is widely utilized in dental and surgical settings to clean instruments and tools. It effectively removes blood, tissue, and other biological materials from delicate instruments, ensuring proper sterilization and preventing cross-contamination.

  4. Industrial Parts: Ultrasonic cleaning is extensively used in various industries to clean parts and components. It can effectively remove oils, lubricants, dirt, rust, and other contaminants from metal, plastic, and ceramic parts, ensuring optimal performance and functionality.

  5. Electronics: Ultrasonic cleaning is employed for cleaning electronic components, circuit boards, connectors, and other delicate parts. It safely removes contaminants like dust, dirt, oils, flux residues, and solder particles, improving the performance and reliability of electronic devices.

  6. Automotive Parts: Ultrasonic cleaning is commonly used to clean automotive parts, such as carburetors, fuel injectors, valves, pistons, and engine components. It effectively removes carbon deposits, oil residues, and other contaminants, restoring the efficiency and performance of the parts.

  7. Medical Instruments: Ultrasonic cleaning is crucial in healthcare settings for cleaning medical instruments, including surgical tools, endoscopes, and orthopedic implants. It ensures proper sterilization and removal of biological residues, reducing the risk of infections and ensuring patient safety.

  8. Laboratory Glassware: Ultrasonic cleaning is widely employed in laboratories to clean glassware, such as beakers, flasks, test tubes, and pipettes. It effectively removes stains, residues, and other contaminants, ensuring accurate and reliable laboratory results.

It’s important to note that while ultrasound cleaning is effective for many applications, there may be specific considerations and limitations depending on the materials and objects being cleaned. It’s advisable to follow manufacturer guidelines, use appropriate cleaning solutions, and consider factors such as material compatibility, fragility, and any specific cleaning requirements.

Home use

ultrasonic cleaner

For domestic use people usually choose one of the cleaners from our HOME series. Our customers are usually interested in cleaning jewelry, glasses, brushes and collectible coins for removing dust, oil and finger prints. Smaller units from the PRO series are also suitable for cleaning small auto parts, technical tools, handy work equipment, baby toys and all kinds of hobby applications.

Professional use

Our larger units from PRO series are also used in industry and cleaning pharmaceutical instruments. Many dentists, tattoo artists and doctors in general use an ultrasonic cleaner for the preparation of their tools and instruments before disinfection. Then we developed an entire industrial range for cleaning equipment used in industry and manufacturing. In this area an ultrasonic cleaner performs really well in the sense that you can submerge a large number of items in the tank and wait for the cleaner to do its job. Depending on what kind of dirt you are trying to remove and the materials you are cleaning we offer a wide range of cleaning solutions. Therefore your job of cleaning becomes even easier and faster.

Degassing is an option on our models from PRO – S series, which prepares the liquid for the fastest possible cleaning. It dissolves bubbles from liquid, making the process of cleaning much faster and more efficient. Preparing the solution before cleaning without this function takes some time, effort and skill. With the Degas button this is done in less than a minute.

Frequencies

Ultrasonic frequency of 40kHz provides thorough but gentle cleaning appropriate for softer metals, plastics, and products with polished surfaces. The smaller bubbles produced at this frequency are less likely to cause surface damage and are also better able to penetrate tight areas such as seams, crevices and blind holes.

Ultrasonic frequency of 28 kHz provides strong and very effective cleaning, which is optimal for large flat surfaces. It has stronger cleaning effect – it creates larger bubbles with higher power and is therefore more efficient for strong enough materials.

Custom made

We are expanding the range of our industrial cleaners constantly, but as this technology is evolving our customer base is also expanding. Ultrasonic cleaning is thus becoming recognized as one of the most efficient tools for cleaning. Whether items you are trying to clean are too big, or you would like to make cleaning even more automated. We can always talk about building a special cleaner just for your materials and needs.

Cleaning concentrates

ASonic ultrasonic cleaning concentrates have specialized chemical composition which boosts the cleaning process and need to be used according to the special needs of the parts to be cleaned.
ASonic ultrasonic cleaning concentrates are designed not only for professional/industrial use, but hobbyist use as well.
